Toni M. Elkins, WSA, is a signature
member of nineteen watercolor societies including National Watercolor,
Watercolor USA Honor Society, Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Society
and Nautilus Fellowship Member of International Society of Experimental
Artists.
Ms. Elkins has won over 150 national
awards with 4 of those awards being won in 2006. She received the highest award given in the state
of South Carolina for contributions to SC art from Governor Hodges in 1999: The
Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award for The Arts. She also was selected as a
billboard model for The Girl Scouts of The Congaree Area. She is presently
serving as President of South Carolina Watercolor Society.
Her artwork entitled The Connection has been
selected as a finalist in the Experimental category of The Artist's Magazine
24th Annual Art Competition. Her name will be featured in the December
issue of the magazine.
In talking about her art, Ms. Elkins has said,
"Art comes from one's depths or it's not art at all!" |
