I feel that the arts and humanities are among the most essential elements of life. Whether actively creating art or participating in the appreciation of art, it touches the soul and creates communication, understanding and well being.

Painting and expressing ideas is always exciting to me. I am in awe, especially, of pristine nature, and love landscape painting. By no means am I tied to one subject, however, as I also paint still life, portraits, animals, non-objectives, and experimental works. I like to pick the medium that will best express a subject, thought, or feeling, be it a drawing medium or a painting medium. Sometimes I combine both in a work. I strive for depth, movement, contrast, line, and color if applicable. The important thing is that I am able to enjoy my work, so I never have to be motivated to create art. If I convey or invoke a feeling with my works, I have reached my goal.
