CALL FOR ENTRIES
The Watercolor Society of Alabama is accepting entries for its sixth online art competition and exhibition. This is to allow the entries to be exhibited on the World Wide Web and it will not be necessary for you to frame or ship your artwork.
The images of your artwork are to be submitted as digital images in JPEG (.jpg) format, either attached to an e-mail or on a CD. Or, if you have a website, you may give the WSA webmaster written permission to download the images you select from your website. If you don’t know how to attach a JPEG (.jpg) image to an e-mail, we are confident that you have a friend or a family member who can do this for you.
All entries will be considered by the juror and will be included in the online exhibition. Artists will benefit from world wide exposure as well as have the opportunity to acquire an additional one-half (1/2) point toward advanced membership status.
DO NOT ENTER AN IMAGE OF ANY ARTWORK THAT HAS PREVIOUSLY
BEEN INCLUDED IN A WSA EXHIBITION. DO NOT ENTER AN IMAGE OF ARTWORK YOU PLAN TO
ENTER IN THE 2012 NATIONAL EXHIBITION.
Please read the prospectus carefully as it contains the criteria of who may enter and what paintings may be submitted for consideration. There will be no awards but all entries will be included in the online exhibition. The juror will be instructed to select at least ten artists to receive “Recognition of Excellence” acknowledgment and those will be the ones who will receive a one-half (1/2) point.
